One of the surest way that a virus can execute itself is through an Autorun. And by disabling the autorun feature of your computer, you can increase your protection from autorun viruses a bit. These are the procedures in order to disable or enable your pc’s autorun feature:
1. Open the “Run” window, type in “gpedit.msc” (wihout quotations).
You can disable or enable the autorun function both from -> Computer Configuration or User Configuration. I suggest you do it on both configuration.
2. Now go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System and then search for Turn Off Autoplay.
3. Double click Turn Off Autoplay to view its properties. Tick Enabled and select All drives on the drop down menu.
4. Click Apply then Ok and your done.
